DWTS

Last night on Dancing With The Stars Brandy and Maks got voted off. I am sooo mad about this. Especially since it was between Brandy and Bristol Palin. Bristol Palin is not even a star! And it’s called Dancing with the STARS! All she did was get pregnant while her mother was running for vice president. I honestly believe the only reason she is still there is because of her mother. She’s not even that good of a dancer. Side note her son is a cutie though! But yeah Brandy and Maks have been at the top like all of the competition and they get voted off? That’s BS. I wonder if Sarah Palin had the votes rigged. I wouldn’t put it past her. But now I’m definately team Kyle and Lacey! If Kyle gets sent home before Bristol there’s a problem. Same goes for Jennifer because both of them are better than Bristol. She just needs to go home to Alaska.

What's My Name - Rihanna featuring Drake

I wasn't really feeling this song at first but I've been singing it all weekend and I'm in love. The video is amazing! Drake and Rihanna have such a strong chemistry on screen. It's great. Drake's verse is my favorite for sure. "Say my name, say my name, wear it out!" ;) Soo stuck in my head. Rihanna looks gorgeous and unique as always. Love it.

Clothes;

I love shopping, clothes, and nice things. But I don't understand why it's so important to some people to have all name brand stuff like ALL Hollister, ALL Abercrombie & Fitch, ALL American Eagle. [ Nothing against any of them cause they all do have some cute stuff in their stores ] First off, they all look the same as one another anyways. Second off some of the stuff is wayyyy too expensive for what it actually is. You could get a t-shirt with a logo from one of those places probably for the same price as a nice, fancier shirt somewhere else. If somethings looks good, I'll wear it. I'd rather have something different than look the same as everyone else =)

$$

It annoys me SO BAD when people complain that they’re broke and have no money. It’s one thing if you have bills to pay and what not. Or if you’re living on your own and have to buy your own food, etc. But if you waste your money on stupid things it is Y0UR fault that you’re broke. Like for example when people need to buy a new outfit for every night that they go out. That’s ridiculous. I love to shop and love clothes and looking nice but you need to draw a line somewhere. Or if you’re a dude, with no job, and all you do is waste your money on video games: that’s you’re fault! Maybe it’s just cause I’m good with money that this bothers me so much but I just can’t feel bad when people complain about something that is easily changeable. I wish people would just be smart and use their money on those things in moderation because THEN they wouldn’t be having a problem.

Fam[ily]

I just wanted to take a few minutes out of my day to say how blessed and grateful I am to have such a wonderful family. My mommy especially ♥ She’d move heaven and earth for me. Honestly. She’s the absolute best. Even though sometimes we argue I could never imagine my life without her in it. It’s sad how some people take their mothers or fathers for granted. What if you woke up one day and they weren’t there anymore? What if you didn’t say “I love you” the last time you saw them? How would you feel? Awful, I’d hope. Take a few seconds out of your day to say “I love you” and I’m sure it would make her day. My step dad is pretty ill too. He’d move heaven and earth for me too and whenever I ask or need his help with something, he’s always there. I know my Daddy would approve. In fact, I know he does approve. I know he’s proud of me and happy because they both did a good job with me. [RIP Daddy; I love you] Always say thank you and let them know that you appreciate them and what they do for you. It’s important!

Fans . .

It's basketball season and of course being from Boston I am a Celtics fan. Team Celtics all day! I L0VE my team and obviously still love them if they're losing. What I find extremely annoying is when people trash talk whoever their team is playing against. Just because. That seems so childish to me. I know sports are competitive but still. It's annoying. You don't need to talk trash about a team just because you don't like them. If they are a HORRIBLE team and the stats prove it, go right ahead and say stuff. But when a team is good and has good players it seems so pointless to run your mouth about them to their fans. It doesn't change anything. If your team is losing, it won't make them not lose. Why waste your time? I like people that are respectful fans and can watch a game and acknowledge that both teams did a good job and worked hard. Simple as that.

"Vote Or Die"

So last night on November 2, 2010 I voted for the first time. When I was younger I didn't really think it mattered or not but it really does. People fought for us to be able to vote so shouldn't we use that right? You may think your one vote won't matter much but it REALLY could make the difference in an election. If you don't vote you really don't have the right to sit there and complain about how things are being done in your community, because YOU didn't even attempt to help change how they happen. I understand people have busy lives but honestly it took like 5, 10 minutes tops. Why couldn't you take 5 minutes out of your day? People are always gonna have their opinions and believe that their vote doesn't really matter. They'll say the government is out to get us, blah, blah, blah. Whatever floats your boat but don't complain when things aren't going the way you would like them to go.

3 Things ;

I just found this article interesting and informing, especially since October's breast cancer awareness month soo I decided to share:

"TUESDAY, Oct. 12 (HealthDay News) -- Women who maintain certain "breast-healthy" habits can lower their risk of breast cancer, even if a close relative has had the disease, a new study finds.

Engaging in regular physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight and drinking alcohol in moderation, if at all, was shown in a large study to help protect against breast cancer in postmenopausal women, the researchers said.

"Whether or not you have a family history, the risk of breast cancer was lower for women engaged in these three sets of behavior compared to women who were not," said study leader Dr. Robert Gramling, associate professor of family medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York.

The study was published online Oct. 12 in the journal Breast Cancer Research.

Gramling wanted to look at the effects of lifestyle habits on breast cancer risk because he suspects some women with a family history may believe their risk is out of their control.

He analyzed data on U.S. women aged 50 to 79 from the Women's Health Initiative study starting in 1993. During 5.4 years of follow-up, 1,997 women were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer.

Gramling excluded women with a personal history of breast cancer or with a family history of early-onset cancer (diagnosed before age 45), then observed the impact of the healthy habits.

Excluding those with an early-onset family history makes sense, because a stronger genetic (versus environmental) component is thought to play a role in early-onset, experts say.

Following all three habits reduced the risk of breast cancer for women with and without a late-onset family history. "For women who had a family history and adhered to all these behaviors, about six of every 1,000 women got breast cancer over a year's time," he said.

In comparison, about seven of every 1,000 women developed breast cancer each year if they had a late-onset family history and followed none of the behaviors.

Among women without a family history who followed all three habits, about 3.5 of every 1,000 were diagnosed with breast cancer annually, compared to about 4.6 per 1,000 per year for those without a family history who followed none of the habits.

For his study, Gramling considered regular physical activity to be 20 minutes of heart-rate raising exercise at least five times a week. Moderate alcohol intake was defined as fewer than seven drinks a week. A healthy body weight was defined in the standard way, having a body mass index, or BMI, of 18.5 to under 25.

Gramling hopes his research will reverse the thinking of women whose mother or sister had breast cancer who sometimes believe they are doomed to develop the disease, too.

The findings echo what other experts have known, said Dr. Susan Gapstur, vice president of the epidemiology research program at the American Cancer Society, who reviewed the study findings.

"The results of this study show that both women with a family history [late-onset] and without will benefit from maintaining a healthy weight and exercising, and consuming lower amounts of alcohol, limiting their alcohol consumption," she said.

The American Cancer Society guidelines for reducing breast cancer risk include limiting alcohol to no more than a drink a day, maintaining a healthy weight and engaging in 45 to 60 minutes of "intentional physical activity" five or more days a week.

The risk reduction effects found in the Gramling study may actually increase if women follow the more intense exercise guidelines of the ACS, Gapstur said."

"Live in the present . ."

"Ida Scott Taylor once wrote: Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering." - Lucas Scott, One Tree Hill

That picture was taken by me this past summer.

Fire Bomb

Fire Bomb - Rihanna

Rihanna's latest CD "Rated R" came out probably almost a year ago and it honestly took me months before I realized how good this song was. I'm the type of person to get a CD, listen to the songs I know, then just pass through the rest and if I don't like the music in the beginning I'll skip it. But one day I somehow decided to listen to this song "Fire Bomb" all the way through. I loved it. It's different but good. So listen to it above if you haven't already!

Mariah Back in the Day

So one of the all time best love songs is "Always Be My Baby" by Mariah Carey. Whenever and wherever that song comes on, I guarantee you someone will start singing along:

I love this song and think it's probably the best song that Mariah has made. The runner up is probably "All I Want For Christmas is You." So my question is what happened to the old Mariah? I know she's had some issues but she still has her amazing vocals. And while she has made some good songs I don't think that they're up to her full potential. I think she could do soooo much better. She doesn't even seem like she's that focused on her career anymore. I know she's older now and married to Nick Cannon but she could make some beautiful songs if she put her mind to it. Look at how "Always Be My Baby" came out. I don't know if she'll ever be the same but it's such a shame to waste that much talent when you're capable of so much!

Young Forever

Today at work I helped with a birthday party for 10 year olds. As I watched them I realized how much fun it was to be young. I can't believe it's been 8 years since I was that old. They were just so energetic and having so much fun with the randomest stuff. Kids are so creative and can legit create something so amazing out of nothing. They're just so full of life and happy, and seeing them like that almost makess you wish you were young again. No drama, worries, real problems. You don't have to worry about what you're gonna do with you life; you just worry about what you're gonna do later on that day. But seeing these girls together really just made me realize, even more than before, that when you're around the right kind of people you can have fun doing whatever. So if you surround yourself with good people, you're gonna have a good time no matter what. Sometimes I wish I could go back to that age . . but I think everyone feels that way at one point or another!

Love ♥

One thing that I don't think alot of girls realize is that you cannot truly be completely happy in a relationship with another person if you aren't happy with yourself. You have to love YOU first, if you don't love yourself then what reason does a dude have to love you? Confidence is attractive. Cockiness on the other hand is not. Some girls these days just go out with a million people and jump from guy to guy to guy like it's a game. Dudes do the same thing. But love's not a game; heart's aren't toys. They do break like toys though. Worse than toys even and you can't buy a new one to replace it either. So anyways, I think it's better, at first, for most people to focus on yourself first and let love come to you :)

Loving You No More

Loving You No More - Dirty Money featuring Drake

[Dirty Money]
So hard to breathe this air that we call love,
Aint nothing worse than the hurt we receive from love,
When you get hurt by the one you living for,
Pain can make you wanna love no more,

[Chorus]
Loving you no more,
I just I cant I just can’t be loving you no more,
I love you more than I love myself,
Loving you no more,
I just I cant I just can’t be loving you no more,
I love you more than I love myself

Hurt with the heart thats bleeding slowly,
So many lonely sleepless nights,
Im going through hell to convince you love me,
But never her approval no matter how I try,
The way you talk to me but still I say I love you,
I’m ashamed you can see it in my eyes,
Momma always told me to respect the woman,
But what am I to do when her parents do not try,

So many tears I cried,
But all for nothing I’m afraid to say,
Oooooohhh

[Chorus]
Loving you no more,
I just I cant I just can’t be loving you no more,
I love you more than I love myself,
Loving you no more,
I just I cant I just can’t be loving you no more,
I love you more than I love myself

I’ve been so dependent on your love for so long,
Punishment for me is trying to let go,
Give it from your heart is what you taught me,
Addiction to pain is what it got me,
My life, now its changed,
My life aint the same as you are,
Heartbroken, to the point sometimes wanna end it,
If I can’t have what mean most to me,

So many tears I cried,
But all for nothing I’m afraid to say,

[Chorus]
Loving you no more,
I just I cant I just can’t be loving you no more,
I love you more than I love myself,
Loving you no more,
I just I cant I just can’t be loving you no more,
I love you more than I love myself

[Drake]
Uh, trying not to over think
Only cause I’ve drove and I done had a lot to drink
When I wanted it blue you said we got to paint it pink
And there’s pieces of ya hair still sittin in my sink
And you still got underwear that’s sittin in the dryer
How come every time that you’re suspicious I’m a liar?
You stand out, I can hear you whistle in a choir
And that’s the only reason you the Mrs. I admire
Damn. Tell me what I’m gone do
Since everything I’m trying to forget is all true
Me and all your main girls get along too
I would take my last dollar out and bet it on you
But ahhhhh, you see the same one I’m missing
Is basically the reason I became something different
And just that I remember me before
And if you could do the same baby then we’ll be for sure

[Chorus]
Loving you no more,
I just I cant I just can’t be loving you no more,
I love you more than I love myself,
Loving you no more,
I just I cant I just can’t be loving you no more,
I love you more than I love myself

Lindsay Lohan

Usually I really don't care about celebrity gossip and all that but this I do care about. Lindsay Lohan. Whyyy does she keep getting out of her jail sentences. She needs that jail sentence, in my opinion, to give her a wake up call. Yeah she may be going to rehab but is that really gonna help anything? Because to recover from a drug and alcohol problem you need to realize that a.) you have a problem and b.) you need to want to get better. She just doesn't seem to understand that. Nobody is indestructable. I think Lindsay has such high potential and it's being wasted because she's so wrapped up in the addiction. Look back at how cute she was in the Parent Trap. She is such a good actress. She just needs to get her head back in the game and recover. Otherwise there's gonna be another young life lost to drugs and that'd just be a shame.

Over the weekend Rihanna released the video for her song Who's That Chick:

How dope does she look in this video though? The concept reminds me of Rude Boy and I looove it! Her make-up looks gorgeous in it too. Hadn't even heard the song until I saw the video but I like it.

Numerology

Lately, a few certain numbers have been popping up everytime I turn around and I started to wonder if it meant something. Because REALLY when does a coincidence like that happen? I like astrology, so I decided to check out numerology. It turns out that my birth path number is actually one of the numbers that I keep seeing. So weird. I still wonder if it means anything else but it is pretty cool in my opinion. If anyone wants to check it out I found a simple website to use:

http://www.cafeastrology.com/numerology.html

I'm really curious to see how many more times this number comes up. I wonder if it means something important?! Only time will tell.

Driver's Vent

Anyone who drives nowadays knows how rude people can be. Not to mention impatient! I personally am an impatient person but some people are just ridiculous. Beeping at me for letting someone into traffic is not going to get you to your destination any faster. You just look like a jerk. When you get to a red light first and you're turning left I feel like you should have the right of way but you know people are rude and always in a hurry so they don't let you turn left. Turning left really is the worse because NO ONE hardly ever let's you go, so you sit there until the light is red again and they legit have no choice but to let you make your turn. I let people turn left/into traffic all the time. I try to make it a point to do that every time I drive. It's just good karma and I'm a nice person. I wish more people were nice though, atleast 50% of the time. I have a little road rage in me too, not gonna lie, but it really is not necessary 24/7. Chill out people! Just a thought . .

Smile :)

I just read this and wanted to share it; about smiling && why you should make it a point to always smile!

"7 Things to Smile About

1. Smiling can make you happy (even when you're not).
Remember that mind-body connection we were just talking about? Well, it turns out that the simple act of smiling sends a message to your brain that you're happy. And when you're happy, your body pumps out all kinds of feel-good endorphins. This reaction has been studied since the 1980s and has been proven a number of times. In 1984, an article in the journal Science showed that when people mimic different emotional expressions, their bodies produce physiological changes that reflect the emotion, too, such as changes in heart and breathing rate. Another German study found that people felt happy just by holding a small pen clenched in their teeth, imitating a smile.

Just remember that the research goes both ways. When the people in the first study frowned, people felt less happy, and in the German study, people who held a pen in their protruding lips, imitating a pout, felt unhappy. So the next time you feel sad or upset, try smiling. It just might make your body—and therefore you—feel better.

2. Smiling can make others happy.
"When you're smilin', the whole world smiles with you." Ever heard that song, made famous by Louis Armstrong? Well, it's true. Research shows that smiling is contagious. Ever been around someone who just had something fantastic happen to him or her? Isn't it almost impossible not to feel good, too? Studies show that something as simple as seeing a friend smile can activate the muscles in your face to make that same expression, without you even being aware that you are doing it. Crazy, right?

But remember that this, too, can be for better or for worse. You know the expression "misery loves company"? Frowns act just like smiles, just with a negative reaction, so choose to smile and watch the world smile back!

3. Smiling makes you more attractive.
Ever wonder why are we always asked to smile in photos? Because people usually look their best—and happiest—when smiling. According to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, 96 percent of American adults believe an attractive smile makes a person more appealing to members of the opposite sex. So the next time you see your crush or are about to ask someone on a date, smile. It'll make them feel happier (see No. 2), and you'll already be more attractive in his or her eyes!

4. Smiling can help you de-stress.
The next time you're stressed about a homework assignment or realize that your favorite jeans feel a little snug, don't freak out. Take a few deep breaths and smile! Smiling may help to reduce symptoms associated with anxiety. When that smile signals to your brain that you're feeling happy (even though you're not really feeling happy...yet), your body will usually slow its breathing and heart rate.

Reducing stress is so important for health, too, as it can lower blood pressure, improve digestion and regulate blood sugar. Note that this works during workouts, too! If you're having a hard time getting through that last rep or getting those final 5 minutes in on the treadmill, smiling can do wonders!

5. Smiling can help you land that first job.
If you're about to go on a job interview, you may think that your appearance is just about wearing nice clothes. Wrong! You can't just wear that suit; you have to wear it with a smile. In a study published in the December 2009 issue of Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, people looked at full-body photographs of 123 people they had never met. The people in the photos had one of two expressions: neutral (think your passport photo) or a smile. And guess what? When observers saw the photos of smiling people, they were more likely to think that the person in the photo was likeable, confident, conscientious and stable. Sound like traits most companies want in an employee, right? So the next time you're dressing to impress, make sure to take that beautiful, natural smile with you!

6. Smiling can lead to laughter.
Have you ever laughed without smiling? It's pretty impossible to do. And it's funny how a smile here and a smile there with friends can turn into a whole fit of hysterical laughter. Numerous studies have been done on the health benefits of laughing, including how it acts like a mini workout that burns calories and works the abs. Laughter also helps blood flow, lowers blood sugar levels, reduces stress and improves sleep. It may also raise the level of infection-fighting antibodies in the body, which helps boost your immune system. So the moral of this story is smile—and laugh—often!

7. Smiling just feels good.
Have you ever found that smiling just feels good? Go ahead, smile now. Doesn't it feel natural? Make you feel happy to be alive? It sure does beat the heck out of a frown."

Eclipse Review

The latest [ and BEST! ] installment in the Twilight Saga, Eclipse came out Wednesday, June 30th. I went to see it yesterday and I have to say it was absolutely amazing. Like I've said in earlier posts Eclipse is my favorite out of all 4 books. It's definately worth going to see. I'd go see it again in theaters too. THAT's how good it is. Bella and Edward are cuter than ever. I just love them, they make me smile. Too bad real relationships aren't like that huh? LOL. Nikki Reed [ my favorite actress ] looked absolutely gorgeous in Eclipse and I'm soo happy she was in this more than New Moon. Her hair didn't look as wig-like as it did in New Moon thank god. She's just a bomb actress. Kellan Lutz did a great job as always being comical Emmett. The rest of the cast did a great job too, I could go on and on and on. There's a lot of action with the newborn Vampires too so a guy could go to this movie and not be bored. However I didn't like the new Victoria. I mean she was alright but Rachelle Lafevre [ spell check? ] was without a doubt better. Another thing I kind of didn't like is how Ashley Greene's character Alice didn't have her crazy "pixy" hairstyle. Her hair was short, but not wild like it is in earlier films and how it's described in the books. But overall other than that I can't complain except that I wish it was longer and that Breaking Dawn was already out! Can't wait :)

Spies?

So earlier this week 6 [ I believe it was 6 ] people got arrested here in the United States on suspician of being spies for Russia. First off is it not 2010? Why are there even Russian spies anymore? Isn't all that stuff over, like aren't we in the wrong time period with all that? It doesn't make sense to me. What does Russia even expect to find on us? I didn't even know they didn't like us still LOL Are they planning to drop an atomic bomb or something on us? Because honestly I think we're more powerful and have more things to benefit us than they do them. It just makes no sense. All this does remind me of an episode of Boy Meets World though when Cory's parents were "Russian spies" in a dream he had. Madd funny. Anyways yeah, I just found that odd when I heard it on the news. But they can just get out of our country if all they're gonna do is "spy".

Stuck In My Head

Love Me For Me - Ashlee Simpson

It's been three days
You come around here like you know me
Your stuff at my place
Next thing you know, you'll be using my toothpaste
Step up, sit down
Get ready, let me tell you who's the boss now
Stay here, get out
Everytime I turn around you're in my face

Don't care where you think you've been, and how you're getting over
If you think you've got me down
Just wait it gets much colder

Here I am,
As perfect as I'm ever gonna be
You'll see
Love me for me
Stick around,
I'm not the kinda girl you wanna leave
You'll see
Love me for me

Shut up, come back
No I didn't really mean to say that
I'm mixed up, so what
Yea you want me so you're messed up too
I love you, I hate you
If you only knew what I've been through

My head is spinnin'
But my heart is in the right place
Sometimes it has to have itself a little earthquake

Here I am,
As perfect as I'm ever gonna be
You'll see
Love me for me
Stick around,
I'm not the kinda girl you wanna leave
You'll see
Love me for me

I've been waiting all my life
To finally find you
Just so I can push you away
And when you're crawling over broken glass to get to me
That's when I'll let you stay

Oh, here I am
As perfect as I'm ever gonna be
You'll see
Love me for me
Stick around,
I'm not the kinda girl you wanna leave
You'll see
Love me for me
Love me for me

Whoa, here I am
As perfect as I'm ever gonna be
You'll see
Love me for me
Stick around,
I'm not the kinda girl you wanna leave
You'll see
Love me for me

R0GER THAT!

What did we do without youtube? Like honestly? LOL it's the best! I was listening to music this morning and ended up on this video -->

Roger That - Young Money

How pretty does Nicki look in the beginning though? And Weezy kills it in his verse of course and looks dope as he does so. What else would you expect? Young Money has some talented artists, that's for sure. So many hits already, imagine what they'll come out with next . .

Greyson Chance

Below is a video of 6th grader Greyson Chance performing "Paparazzi" by Lady GaGa at his school talent show:

This kid has such an amazing voice for someone so young and is definately going places. He recently appeared on the Ellen Show and then he came back on the show yesterday where it was announced that Ellen herself is signing him to her own record label that she just decided to start. The label is called 11:11 (not sure if that's how it's written but you know) So we'll probably be hearing a lot more from Greyson in the future!

Bella and Rosalie Scene!

Eclipse, the next installment in the Twilight Saga comes out June 30th and this is the newest scene to be released I believe. It's the scene where Bella confronts Rosalie about hating her. Check it out:

I love this scene and I LOVE Nikki Reed. She's legit my favorite actress! I'm so amped to see Eclipse since she's in it a whole lot more than she was in New Moon :)

Stereotypes . .

Why as a world are we so stereotypical? Everyone's been guilty of it at one point or another and while it's wrong, it happens every single day. The white girl did this, because she's white. The mexican guy did that, because he's mexican. The black girl did this and blah, blah, blah. Why can't we just say, this PERSON did whatever it is that they did. Or why can't a person act a way without "acting" like "they want to be black" or talk "like a white person?" Everybody has their own personality, race/skin color does N0T determine how a person is, should, or will act. If we were all like everyone else that's in the same race group as us life would be very boring. Every once in awhile a stereotype may be true but we should think before we say something of that nature cause how would we feel if someone judged US that way? We all bleed red and we all breathe the same air. We all need food and water to survive. We're all human. White, black, tan, purple, green, blue - we're all human, forget about color.

Happy Birthday R.Pattz!

Happy Birthday R. Pattz ♥

Today's everyone's favorite vampire's birthday, Mr. Robert Pattinson <3 Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and of course Rob will be on Oprah this afternoon. Can't wait to see that. On another note though there's been talk that Ashley Greene (who plays Alice cullen) and Kellan Lutz (who plays Emmett Cullen) may not be back in Breaking Dawn because of salary issues. They aren't being offered nearly enough as they should be seeing how much money this whole Twilight Mania has made/makes. Hopefully they are though because to replace them for the last movie, well 2 movies because they have to split it up, would be dumb. They're CULLENS you CAN'T get rid of Cullens that everyone's used to can you?

"Snooki! We love you!"

Soo apparently MTV has been telling the Jersey Shore cast that if they don't step their "crazy" game up they'll be getting a whole new cast for Jersey Shore season 3. I guess they weren't as crazy for season 2 as the first one because they were just walking around being themselves and enjoying how popular they are. EXCEPT Snooki. Snooki's still crazy and I'm hearing she'd be the only one they kept on season 3. That's okay with me! I love Snooki. Watch what a rude fan does to her while she's just sitting there minding her own business:

You don't go up to a girl and do that. That's beyond disrespectful. And dude probably just wanted camera time. So pitiful. But you hear how everyone supports her. Everyone's yelling "Snooki! We love you! Can't wait for season 2!

The Road Not Taken

"The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

One of my favorite poems. Alot of you have probably read it in school or somewhere else but it's really good and has a really good message. Do you, don't follow the crowd!

Massive Attack

Massive Attack - Nicki Minaj Featuring Sean Garrett

Soo umm I like Nicki and all, but this song is not her best work. She has good rapping skills don't get me wrong I just don't really see it in this song. Her lipstick color is hott though when she has the blonde wig on. And the pink convertable that Amber Rose [ Kanye's Girlfriend ] is in is hella cute too. But this Sean Garrett dude should've been left out of the song. His voice annoys me lol. I'm sure the die hard "barbies" are loving this song. To each his own.

Bullying.

Bullying is sooo serious. And it is so unnecessary. When someone considers taking their life because they can't deal with the name calling and the bullying SOMETHiNG iS WRONG. 15 year old Phoebe Prince hung herself because she was constantly bullied from September-January when she took her own life. She had just moved here from Ireland. How awful is that? A 15 year old ending their life, when their life has barely even begun is tragic. The teachers and school officials knew about it and they didn't do more to help stop it. No matter what they did, it wasn't enough because she is no longer here anymore. Dealing with name calling everyday at school AND cyber bullying through facebook, AIM, or text messages on a daily basis would be exhausting for someone of any age but ESPECIALLY a 15 year old who probably already is self conscious. She was such a pretty girl too. Parents as well as schools need to do something, change something. Any child taking their life because of someone else needs to be stopped. Who taught these kids it was okay to be mean to someone else for no reason? Or because they were jealous? Or different? Or had an accent? It doesn't matter. It needs to be stopped and prevented. I can't believe some of the students that lead Phoebe to taking her life are still at that school acting like nothing happened. They should have been expelled. How can they even go to sleep at night knowing what they caused? I feel like they should be court ordered to go to some sort of program or have to perform community service because it's not right. Treat others how you want to be treated.

Music Monday/Ricky Martin =X

Music Monday . . On Tuesday [ for the second time lol ]

Ricky Martin - Livin La Vida Loca

Yeah, yeah I picked Ricky Martin for a reason. He came out of the closet after years of keeping quiet. He posted a message on his official message saying "I am a fortunate homosexual man, I am very blessed to be who I am." I didn't think he liked guys all these years but it seems like many suspected, just like with Clay Aiken. I don't really care either way, it doesn't effect my life so let him do him.

B's Prego?!

Rumor has it . .

That the beautiful Beyonce is pregnant with hubby Jay-Z! I didn't believe it at first because there's always rumors about someone being prego but I've heard it in 3 different places now so I'm starting to think it may be true. Either way though they'd make an adorable child. I love them as a couple, they don't put their relationship all in the media and that's definately respectable. Beyonce looks like she'd be a cute prego :) We'll have to wait and see if the rumor is actually true!

Biden Drops The F-Bomb

Vice President Joe Biden has been known to open his mouth without thinking and do you think this should have been any different at the Health Care Bill signing? Nope! After introducing the President he leans in and whispers to him "This is a big f*cking deal!" LOL Oh man so made my day yesterday. He's hilarious. Like hello all those news cameras and microphones there you thought no one would hear you?

I guess he got a little caught up in the moment which is understandable. And you KNOW Obama probably wanted to laugh but he couldn't.

Letting Go . .

"It's not a switch you can just flip off. If you didn't love him, this never would have happened. But you did. And accepting that love -- and everything that followed it -- is part of letting go." ♥

That's a quote from the book I just finished reading Dreamland by Sarah Dessen. It's such a good book and she's SUCH a good author. I definately recommend it to any young adult/teenage girl. Her books are always filled with good quotes too. So go pick it up!

Health Care Reform?

So if you follow the news even atleast a little bit, you know that President Obama's Health Care Reform bill passed yesterday. I'm not really sure why there's all this drama surrounding it though because it sounds like a good thing. Health care for everyone, right? Apparently many people don't feel that way and I kind of want to read the bill just to see what it's all about. And why there is so much controversy with it. One thing I REALLY do respect is that Obama is carrying out the late Ted Kennedy's wishes because he wanted health care reform. That's very noble of him to try to complete what Kennedy wanted and to keep trying until he got it passed.

I don't understand though why some people are saying "Oh, health care isn't a right." Really? Because it should be a right. How would you like it if you were so sick and couldn't be seen at a doctor because you had no health insurance? How would that make you feel? We already have health care for everybody in Massachusetts, which is Mass Health. But I don't know all the details of the bill so I'm not saying it's right or wrong because honestly I don't know the answer to that. I guess we'll see what happens in the coming days.

Everyone DOES deserve and need to have health care though. I'll leave it at that.

Annabel Lee - Edgar Allan Poe

Last night in my English class we read this poem called "Annabel Lee" by the famous poet Edgar Allan Poe. He lived from 1809-1849 and resided in Boston, MA.

Annabel Lee - Edgar Allan Poe

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of ANNABEL LEE;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we loved with a love that was more than love-
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her highborn kinsman came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.

The angels, not half so happy in heaven,
Went envying her and me-
Yes!- that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we-
Of many far wiser than we-
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee.

For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride,
In the sepulchre there by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

I really liked the poem because it has such good imagery that you can actually picture the scene as you're reading it. And you can feel that he loved this Annabel Lee unconditionally and is lost without her by his side. I enjoyed it, hopefully you will too.

5 Tips For Headache Sufferers

All my life I've suffered from headaches and migraine headaches. But this past year they were really bad and I finally found some things that actually DO HELP! So I thought I'd share because I know many people suffer with the same thing as me every single day.

One: Put an ice pack on the back of your neck. No matter where your headache is! There are a lot of "trigger points" in the back of your neck that can contribute to headaches. If your headache is in your temples, which is where I get mine, put an ice pack there as well.

Two: For really, really bad headaches try Excedrin: Migraine. It in most cases WILL WORK or atleast take the edge off.

Three: But since Excedrin has alot of caffeine as well as acetaminophen and aspirin, both of which are bad for your stomach if you take too much of it so only take the recommended dosage which is usually 2 pills per dose, go to the drug store and buy some magnesium pills. It was prescribed to me by my neurologist but you can also buy it over the counter! Magesium is all natural unlike excedrin, tylenol, or motrin. Magnesium actually did help my headaches let up so I highly recommend it to people with headaches.

Four: If that doesn't do it for your headaches try adding Vitamin B2 pills. This is another pill that my neurologist recommended to me! It also helped too. You should take them on a daily basis if you get chronic headaches so it'll help as a preventative.

Five: Sometimes caffeine will help your headache go away. I wish that was the case for me but it's not! This is why there's caffeine in Excedrin migraine. Coffee, ice tea, a soda may all help your headache pain subside. Drink in moderation though because too much caffeine isn't good for anybody.

I hope these tips help someone else with migraines and headaches! But I am not a doctor if you do get serious migraine headaches constantly you need to go see a doctor to make sure there's no serious problems because everybody's headaches can come from different sources. They can do an MRI of the brain as well as a CT scan to make sure there are no other problems. There are other medications they can try you on for your headaches but maybe try bringing up the magnesium and vitamin b2 pills to them! Something natural is always better than just un-needed chemicals!

Telephone Music Video

The "Telephone" by Lady GaGa && Beyonce music video premiered last night finally. I didn't really understand what the big deal was or why it was taking so long to be released, or made, whatever the case. But I watched it, all 9 minutes and 32 seconds of it LOL and I see why. GaGa is definately an artist because this video is crazy creative.

What I kind of don't understand is why she's in a prison in the beginning of the video but she's singing about being in a club. Random. But definately a dope video.

[ If for some reason the whole video isn't displayed on the screen click on the video and it should open into a new window so you can see the whole thing! ]

Follow Your Heart

"Do what you love and don't let anyone stop you."

That's one of my favorite quotes. So simple and to the point but it means so much. If you have something you love to do and something you're passionate about then pursue it. Don't listen to what anyone else has to say just do you and do what you're heart is telling you to do.

This Ain't A Dollhouse

A friend made me listen to this song "Dollhouse" by Priscilla Renea and ever since then it's kind of been stuck in my head. Good song. But decide for yourself:

There is an actual music video for this song BUT it wouldn't allow me to post it so if you wanna see the legit video youtube it! It should be the first video that comes up!

Lyrics:

I’m just a girl, you’re just a boy
This is my heart, it’s not a toy
So what’s with you playing with my mind
We used to be cool, this used to be love
Now it’s become, something like a job
Like it or not, maybe things were changing right before our eyes

I tried to be a picture perfect girl
But you were in your own fantasy world
Tryna control me like some kind of Barbie
but that just ain’t me

Cause I ain’t a doll, this aint a dollhouse
You’re way too old to be, puttin me down like this
and playing around like this
I ain’t a doll, this ain’t a dollhouse
No, I could never be, stuck living life like this
behind these four walls,cause I ain’t a doll

You call the shots, right down to my shoes
I liked what you liked cause you told me to
And i don’t think that you could even tell
I fell out of love, but it never showed
I gave up on us so long ago
But you’ll never know
baby don’t pretend like you know me so well

I tried to be a picture perfect girl
but you were in your own fantasy world
try to control me like some kind of Barbie
but that just ain’t me

I ain’t a doll, this ain't a dollhouse
You’re way too old to be, puttin me down like this
and playing around like this
I ain’t a doll, this ain’t a dollhouse
No, I could never be, stuck living life like this
behind these four walls,cause I ain’t a doll

I’ll never be made of plastic
So glad that my heart’s elastic
No matter what you do
I’ll bounce back offa you
Cut me but I’m not bleeding

I tried to be a picture perfect girl
but you were in your own fantasy world
tryna to control me like some kind of Barbie
but that just ain’t me

I ain’t a doll, this ain't a dollhouse
You’re way too old to be, puttin me down like this
and playing around like this
I ain’t a doll, this ain’t a dollhouse
No I could never be, stuck living life like this
Behind these four walls, I ain’t a doll

And I come with imperfections
Epitome of perfection
if you can’t understand, loving the way I am
then you’re no good for me, so glad i kept my receipt.

The Person I Long To Be - Victoria A. Mogyorosi

The Person I Long To Be - Victoria A. Mogyorosi

The day light breaks again
Another day has begun.
But still no sleep has come.
My body is weary

My mind overworked.
I lie awake thinking

But what I am unsure.
I need to break free from the cycle I endure.

Everyday is the same and the nights are undistinguished.
I feel as though I am being pushed along with the tide

Unable to break free from the everyday flow.
This is not me I need to change, before time takes over

And I am unable to change.
I need to be freed from the grasp of ordinary

And become that person I have always longed for.
Express myself in every way, and conquer the dreams as I lie awake.

Then I may fall asleep and put my mind to rest.
Make changes in my life and help those in need.

I would like to touch everyone's life in a positive way
And leave my mark on society before I fade away.

I found this poem while I was browsing a website and I really liked it. It's something I'm sure everyone can relate to. Everybody has had that boring phase in life where everyday is the same and if you haven't I'm jealous of you. The last two lines are so strong too because I feel like most people want to do something in their life that is positive and people will remember them for before they leave this world. Beautiful poem.

Art: What is it to you?

The dictionary definition of art is the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance. But what does art mean to you? Is it a beautiful drawing or painting? An interesting photograph? Poetry? Or is it a dance? What's your favorite form of art? I've heard music, photography, writing, drawing and dance. They're all very different ways to express yourself. I think music is the one most people would probably choose as their favorite simply because there is so much variety of music in the world there is legit something for EVERYONE! Whether you're 6 years old or 60 years old, there is a music genre/song/recording artist for you to listen to. Some people like capturing the moment of something that's beautiful with a camera. Others like to draw. And some even like to dance. Dance is a more physical form of art. You can express yourself physically. But I guess music and dance kind of go together because you have to dance to the music. Art is such a great thing because since there are so many forms of it you can express yourself with something you, yourself, and only you like to do. My favorite form of art is writing. More specifically poetry. I write when I'm sad. I write when I'm happy. I write when I'm mad. I write when I'm stressed. It makes me feel better and express whatever I happen to be feeling at that moment in time. When people think artist they usually think of a painter, or someone that draws amazing pictures. When in reality there are so many different types of artists. Art is everywhere. Art is for everybody.

The Time Traveler's Wife Review

So I just watched "The Time Traveler's Wife" starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana. I have to say that Rachel is one of my favorite actresses so I expected a great performance from her but Eric did an amazing job as well.

Obviously it is a chick flick BUT because of the time travel a guy may be willing to sit through it. Anyways it was a really good movie but I'm kind of torn about the way it all played out. It seemed like it went by fast, but maybe that's the point with the time travel and all. This movie shows true, unconditional love. And time cannot erase feelings that strong between Clare and Henry. (Rachel and Eric) The scenery is beautiful! Especially in the meadow where Henry meets Clare for the first time. Absolutely beautiful.

Overall I'd definately recommend this movie. If you liked "The Notebook" I'm almost positive you'll like "The Time Traveler's Wife." But bring some tissues, because more than likely you'll need them.

Natalie

Anybody know whatever happened to Natalie who sang "Going Crazy" in like 2005? I love her voice and her whole CD but haven't heard anything from her recently. Below are a couple of her songs that I like the most:

Sick - Shel Silverstein

Sick - Shel Silverstein

"I cannot go to school today,"
Said little Peggy Ann McKay.
"I have the measles and the mumps,
A gash, a rash and purple bumps.
My mouth is wet, my throat is dry,
I'm going blind in my right eye.
My tonsils are as big as rocks,
I've counted sixteen chicken pox
And there's one more--that's seventeen,
And don't you think my face looks green?
My leg is cut--my eyes are blue--
It might be instamatic flu.
I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke,
I'm sure that my left leg is broke--
My hip hurts when I move my chin,
My belly button's caving in,
My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained,
My 'pendix pains each time it rains.
My nose is cold, my toes are numb.
I have a sliver in my thumb.
My neck is stiff, my voice is weak,
I hardly whisper when I speak.
My tongue is filling up my mouth,
I think my hair is falling out.
My elbow's bent, my spine ain't straight,
My temperature is one-o-eight.
My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear,
There is a hole inside my ear.
I have a hangnail, and my heart is--what?
What's that? What's that you say?
You say today is. . .Saturday?
G'bye, I'm going out to play!"

Isn't this cute? You can find it in Shel's book "Where The Sidewalk Ends" as well as tons of other great poems.

Tragedy at Sea World

So just recently during a killer whale show, which in itself sounds bad, a Sea World trainer was killed by a whale. First of all it's so sad because ever since she, the trainer, was a little girl she said that this was what she wanted to do. And for the whale she had been working with for some time to snap like that is tragic. That whale had killed people before though. There was a case when a person snuck into Sea World and they found the person dead on top of the whale. Why was the whale still in the show and so close with people when he has killed before?! I don't understand. What I do understand is that it was probably only following it's own instincts because after all it is a "killer" whale. I'm kind of torn about what I think they should do with the whale now. I know they aren't going to kill it which I do think is fair because he was only doing what his kind do. But should they release it back into the wild? Or would it die because it's been a different setting for so long? I mean I'd assume if it can still kill a person, awful to even say, it could kill some krill or whatever kind of fish they eat. It's a sticky situation. I'm an animal lover but some animals are not meant to be domesticated or even in shows for that matter! BUT I read that they aren't secluding him from the other whales because he fathered some and so he can still mate with other whales. And that he'll still be in shows but they are going to review the ways they work with him. I don't know. Doesn't seem like such a good idea to me. I guess we'll see what happens && just hope he doesn't kill again.

EDIT: I just found out that it was not the whale's fault! The trainers ponytail got into the water and the whale was intrigued by it and was really just playing with her. Too roughly but it was the trainer's error and not the whale's fault. I feel bad now :( but people need to be more careful with certain animals.

Please && Thank you!

Lately I've been wondering, does anyone have manners anymore? Like seriously how hard is it to be polite? If you want something say please. If someone does something nice for you say thank you.
It's the right thing to do. If someone's a few steps behind you, hold the door until they get there [ unless you're really in a rush, you know there's exceptions to every rule ] && if someone holds the door for you say thank you! Or even just give them a thank you smile. Be kind to everyone because you never know what someone else may be going through. They could be smiling on the outside and be miserable on the inside. Your "please" or "thank you" or even a simple compliment may make their day. You just honestly never know. Karma is always working. Eventually what you do will come back to you. Good or bad. Wouldn't you rather it be good?

Quiet Girl - Langston Hughes

In honor of Black History Month I picked out a poem by Langston Hughes [ 1902-1967 ] to share:

Quiet Girl by Langston Hughes
I would liken you
To a night without stars
Were it not for your eyes.
I would liken you
To a sleep without dreams
Were it not for your songs.

I picked this one because it was short but sweet. The title caught my attention like what is he going to say about a quiet girl? And I liked it, simple as that.

Music Monday . . On Tuesday

I wasn't on the computer at all yesterday so I couldn't do my music monday. And since I haven't done one in the past 2 weeks I decided to just do it this morning. Hence "Music Monday . . On Tuesday" Haha here you go --

5 Star Chick Remix - Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj, && Trina

Trina and Nicki's parts are my favorites!

"I just had an epiphany I need to go to Tiffany's!" ;)

Telephone - Lady Gaga featuring Beyonce

Just heard this song from the first time yesterday and I love it! GaGa has crazy skills and B's vocals are sick.

Sorry in advance if any of the music videos I've posted from youtube get deleted! If you go to click on one and it says it's no longer there due to whatever copyright just go search for the song in youtube OR better yet download it from iTunes :)

Jersey Shore "Guidettes"

While I was watching Jersey Shore I noticed Jwoww didn't look as Italian as the rest of the cast but I never really paid too much attention to it, because hey different people have different looks. But I JUST learned this morning she's not even Italian at all! She's Spanish and Irish. What kind of Spanish I'm not sure. She addressed the issue on her twitter saying that being a "Guidette" is a lifestyle not a race/ethnicity. Snooki on the other hand looks like a full blood Italian right? Well it turns out she's half Italian and half Chilean [ which is also Spanish for those that didn't know ] I didn't know this while she was on the show but learned it from a radio interview she had. But I read on a bunch of websites saying that she's all Chilean. Not true she's only HALF! Either way everybody loves Snooki :) && I can't wait for the second season of Jersey Shore.

Still I Rise - Maya Angelou

In honor of Black History Month here is a poem by the great African American writer Maya Angelou. Enjoy.

Still I Rise by Maya Angelou

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.

Everlasting by Stacy-Deanne

In this day and age there are so many different genre's of books that there is something for everyone. You've all heard of Romeo and Juliet right? Well Everlasting by Stacy-Deanne is a modern day version of that classic story. It is about two teens from New York named Nina and Juan. The two fall in love but face a lot of obstacles since their family members are apart of rival gangs. This book is definitely a page turner full of lots of twists and turns. Everlasting is in my opinion, one of the best romance novels for teens and young adults. It makes you believe in that saying "Love Conquers All." Don't take my word for it, go to a library or bookstore near you and find out for yourself.

Love me, Love me

Rihanna's video for "Rude Boy" is SO DOPE. I love love love the colors and concept of the video. It's so creative && I haven't seen a video like this in awhile. Props to Ri-Ri for that. She looks gorgeous of course. I like how she incorporates animals and animal print into the video too. Very cool. Check it out below --
