Quiet Girl - Langston Hughes

In honor of Black History Month I picked out a poem by Langston Hughes [ 1902-1967 ] to share:

Quiet Girl by Langston Hughes
I would liken you
To a night without stars
Were it not for your eyes.
I would liken you
To a sleep without dreams
Were it not for your songs.

I picked this one because it was short but sweet. The title caught my attention like what is he going to say about a quiet girl? And I liked it, simple as that.
