It seems like whenever someone wants to commit a crime nowadays they go to Aruba. Aruba’s supposed to be “one big happy island” and I can vouch for that, they definately ARE !! Ever since the disappearance of Natalee Hollaway they’ve kind of had dirt on their name and it’s SUCH a shame because the people there are S0 friendly and the island is beautiful. Now another girl who went to do modeling there supposedly is missing or was found dead. I haven’t been really following the story that much but I know that something happened to this girl. It’s sad because a really nice place is being put in the news for all the wrong reasons. You think you’d be safe because you’re in paradise but in reality you can NEVER let your guard down anywhere. I hope they figure out what happened so that poor girl’s family can have some answers and hopefully nothing else bad happens in Aruba to make that beautiful place seem like an unsafe one.

Lady GaGa . . .
Lady GaGa’s just trying T00 HARD to be weird nowadays? People might hate me for this post but hey, my blog, my opinions. I didn’t even watch the VMA’s but I turned the tv on and saw her dressed up like a dude. Like why is that even necessary? How is that making a “statement” or whatever. Her other outfits I can say she was trying to express her “creativity” reguardless of how weird they were but really, you dress up like a dude? I’ve seen people say she kind of looks better as a dude than a chick and not to be mean lol but I kind of agree. I really did like her at first, but after Paparazzi and Lovegame and all those songs, I stopped. Her new stuff doesn’t really impress me. She has a great voice and all but I think she can make better stuff.

Life doesn't last F0REVER;
Life really doesn’t last forever. You hear all about the violence going on and young people getting killed and it’s true you never really know when your last day could be. More importantly you never know when the last time you might have with your family members may be. Especially grandparents. Spend as much time as possible with them because who knows when they could be gone? How would you feel looking back, knowing you could have spent time with them and didn’t? Tell people you love them all the time, it could be the last time they ever hear it 0R you get to tell it to them. Not to say be paranoid && scared all the time, just cherish your time with you family and friends, take lots of pictures, make lots of memories. It’ll be worth it when you’re older and looking back on things.

Team Sammi;
I know that most people HATE Sammi from Jersey Shore and I understand why, because I started to hate her after the way she acted in some of the episodes. But after I watched the new episode before the VMA’s last night my opinion totally changed. YES, it technically was Sammi’s fault that the big fight that caused Mike to go to the hopsital happened, BUT Ronnie’s been wanting to fight him right along. Ronnie is the one that needs anger management classes or something because when he’s drunk he’s crazy. Sammi didn’t help that situation by bringing up what Mike had said but obviously it was bothering her so she said something. What girl in love wouldn’t do that? Theeeen what REALLY urked me is the fact that all the roommates tried to blame Sammi for their toxic relationship. N0, it takes two people N0T just one. Ronnie was being shady right along calling girls while still in Italy. Like doesn’t that matter? Then he brings Sammi home roses AFTER they broke up to prove “he wasn’t an asshole” and is surprised that she’s confused about it? Who wouldn’t be confused about that? Sammi’s in love and unfortunately love makes people do crazy things. So I’m definately Team Sammi now, Ronnie needs to go somewhere.

Hm . .
So I haven't been on blogger in F0REVER. I'm still addicted to tumblr [ lamariexo.tumblr -- follow me if you have one ] but the thing I really D0N'T like about tumblr is that you could write an amazing post and only get 1 or 2 notes on it but when you post a picture of something or a celebrity you can get hundreds or thousands. Like I posted a picture of Tia Mowry pregnant and got over 300 notes. I'm really grateful and that's super cool but sometimes I wish I'd get more recognition on my writing. Therefore, I think I might start posting on here too. Or atleast cross posting [ I think that's what it's called lol ] I've been blogging about stuff alot more lately which I'm very proud of myself for because I stopped for awhile and I really missed writing. Buuut I do start classes again next week so there might not be as many posts as before but I'm gonna try =)

DWTS
Last night on Dancing With The Stars Brandy and Maks got voted off. I am sooo mad about this. Especially since it was between Brandy and Bristol Palin. Bristol Palin is not even a star! And it’s called Dancing with the STARS! All she did was get pregnant while her mother was running for vice president. I honestly believe the only reason she is still there is because of her mother. She’s not even that good of a dancer. Side note her son is a cutie though! But yeah Brandy and Maks have been at the top like all of the competition and they get voted off? That’s BS. I wonder if Sarah Palin had the votes rigged. I wouldn’t put it past her. But now I’m definately team Kyle and Lacey! If Kyle gets sent home before Bristol there’s a problem. Same goes for Jennifer because both of them are better than Bristol. She just needs to go home to Alaska.

What's My Name - Rihanna featuring Drake
I wasn't really feeling this song at first but I've been singing it all weekend and I'm in love. The video is amazing! Drake and Rihanna have such a strong chemistry on screen. It's great. Drake's verse is my favorite for sure. "Say my name, say my name, wear it out!" ;) Soo stuck in my head. Rihanna looks gorgeous and unique as always. Love it.

Clothes;
I love shopping, clothes, and nice things. But I don't understand why it's so important to some people to have all name brand stuff like ALL Hollister, ALL Abercrombie & Fitch, ALL American Eagle. [ Nothing against any of them cause they all do have some cute stuff in their stores ] First off, they all look the same as one another anyways. Second off some of the stuff is wayyyy too expensive for what it actually is. You could get a t-shirt with a logo from one of those places probably for the same price as a nice, fancier shirt somewhere else. If somethings looks good, I'll wear it. I'd rather have something different than look the same as everyone else =)

It annoys me SO BAD when people complain that they’re broke and have no money. It’s one thing if you have bills to pay and what not. Or if you’re living on your own and have to buy your own food, etc. But if you waste your money on stupid things it is Y0UR fault that you’re broke. Like for example when people need to buy a new outfit for every night that they go out. That’s ridiculous. I love to shop and love clothes and looking nice but you need to draw a line somewhere. Or if you’re a dude, with no job, and all you do is waste your money on video games: that’s you’re fault! Maybe it’s just cause I’m good with money that this bothers me so much but I just can’t feel bad when people complain about something that is easily changeable. I wish people would just be smart and use their money on those things in moderation because THEN they wouldn’t be having a problem.

Fam[ily]
I just wanted to take a few minutes out of my day to say how blessed and grateful I am to have such a wonderful family. My mommy especially ♥ She’d move heaven and earth for me. Honestly. She’s the absolute best. Even though sometimes we argue I could never imagine my life without her in it. It’s sad how some people take their mothers or fathers for granted. What if you woke up one day and they weren’t there anymore? What if you didn’t say “I love you” the last time you saw them? How would you feel? Awful, I’d hope. Take a few seconds out of your day to say “I love you” and I’m sure it would make her day. My step dad is pretty ill too. He’d move heaven and earth for me too and whenever I ask or need his help with something, he’s always there. I know my Daddy would approve. In fact, I know he does approve. I know he’s proud of me and happy because they both did a good job with me. [RIP Daddy; I love you] Always say thank you and let them know that you appreciate them and what they do for you. It’s important!

Fans . .
It's basketball season and of course being from Boston I am a Celtics fan. Team Celtics all day! I L0VE my team and obviously still love them if they're losing. What I find extremely annoying is when people trash talk whoever their team is playing against. Just because. That seems so childish to me. I know sports are competitive but still. It's annoying. You don't need to talk trash about a team just because you don't like them. If they are a HORRIBLE team and the stats prove it, go right ahead and say stuff. But when a team is good and has good players it seems so pointless to run your mouth about them to their fans. It doesn't change anything. If your team is losing, it won't make them not lose. Why waste your time? I like people that are respectful fans and can watch a game and acknowledge that both teams did a good job and worked hard. Simple as that.

"Vote Or Die"
So last night on November 2, 2010 I voted for the first time. When I was younger I didn't really think it mattered or not but it really does. People fought for us to be able to vote so shouldn't we use that right? You may think your one vote won't matter much but it REALLY could make the difference in an election. If you don't vote you really don't have the right to sit there and complain about how things are being done in your community, because YOU didn't even attempt to help change how they happen. I understand people have busy lives but honestly it took like 5, 10 minutes tops. Why couldn't you take 5 minutes out of your day? People are always gonna have their opinions and believe that their vote doesn't really matter. They'll say the government is out to get us, blah, blah, blah. Whatever floats your boat but don't complain when things aren't going the way you would like them to go.

3 Things ;
I just found this article interesting and informing, especially since October's breast cancer awareness month soo I decided to share:
"TUESDAY, Oct. 12 (HealthDay News) -- Women who maintain certain "breast-healthy" habits can lower their risk of breast cancer, even if a close relative has had the disease, a new study finds.
Engaging in regular physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight and drinking alcohol in moderation, if at all, was shown in a large study to help protect against breast cancer in postmenopausal women, the researchers said.
"Whether or not you have a family history, the risk of breast cancer was lower for women engaged in these three sets of behavior compared to women who were not," said study leader Dr. Robert Gramling, associate professor of family medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York.
The study was published online Oct. 12 in the journal Breast Cancer Research.
Gramling wanted to look at the effects of lifestyle habits on breast cancer risk because he suspects some women with a family history may believe their risk is out of their control.
He analyzed data on U.S. women aged 50 to 79 from the Women's Health Initiative study starting in 1993. During 5.4 years of follow-up, 1,997 women were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer.
Gramling excluded women with a personal history of breast cancer or with a family history of early-onset cancer (diagnosed before age 45), then observed the impact of the healthy habits.
Excluding those with an early-onset family history makes sense, because a stronger genetic (versus environmental) component is thought to play a role in early-onset, experts say.
Following all three habits reduced the risk of breast cancer for women with and without a late-onset family history. "For women who had a family history and adhered to all these behaviors, about six of every 1,000 women got breast cancer over a year's time," he said.
In comparison, about seven of every 1,000 women developed breast cancer each year if they had a late-onset family history and followed none of the behaviors.
Among women without a family history who followed all three habits, about 3.5 of every 1,000 were diagnosed with breast cancer annually, compared to about 4.6 per 1,000 per year for those without a family history who followed none of the habits.
For his study, Gramling considered regular physical activity to be 20 minutes of heart-rate raising exercise at least five times a week. Moderate alcohol intake was defined as fewer than seven drinks a week. A healthy body weight was defined in the standard way, having a body mass index, or BMI, of 18.5 to under 25.
Gramling hopes his research will reverse the thinking of women whose mother or sister had breast cancer who sometimes believe they are doomed to develop the disease, too.
The findings echo what other experts have known, said Dr. Susan Gapstur, vice president of the epidemiology research program at the American Cancer Society, who reviewed the study findings.
"The results of this study show that both women with a family history [late-onset] and without will benefit from maintaining a healthy weight and exercising, and consuming lower amounts of alcohol, limiting their alcohol consumption," she said.
The American Cancer Society guidelines for reducing breast cancer risk include limiting alcohol to no more than a drink a day, maintaining a healthy weight and engaging in 45 to 60 minutes of "intentional physical activity" five or more days a week.
The risk reduction effects found in the Gramling study may actually increase if women follow the more intense exercise guidelines of the ACS, Gapstur said."

Fire Bomb
Fire Bomb - Rihanna
Rihanna's latest CD "Rated R" came out probably almost a year ago and it honestly took me months before I realized how good this song was. I'm the type of person to get a CD, listen to the songs I know, then just pass through the rest and if I don't like the music in the beginning I'll skip it. But one day I somehow decided to listen to this song "Fire Bomb" all the way through. I loved it. It's different but good. So listen to it above if you haven't already!

Mariah Back in the Day
So one of the all time best love songs is "Always Be My Baby" by Mariah Carey. Whenever and wherever that song comes on, I guarantee you someone will start singing along:
I love this song and think it's probably the best song that Mariah has made. The runner up is probably "All I Want For Christmas is You." So my question is what happened to the old Mariah? I know she's had some issues but she still has her amazing vocals. And while she has made some good songs I don't think that they're up to her full potential. I think she could do soooo much better. She doesn't even seem like she's that focused on her career anymore. I know she's older now and married to Nick Cannon but she could make some beautiful songs if she put her mind to it. Look at how "Always Be My Baby" came out. I don't know if she'll ever be the same but it's such a shame to waste that much talent when you're capable of so much!

Young Forever
Today at work I helped with a birthday party for 10 year olds. As I watched them I realized how much fun it was to be young. I can't believe it's been 8 years since I was that old. They were just so energetic and having so much fun with the randomest stuff. Kids are so creative and can legit create something so amazing out of nothing. They're just so full of life and happy, and seeing them like that almost makess you wish you were young again. No drama, worries, real problems. You don't have to worry about what you're gonna do with you life; you just worry about what you're gonna do later on that day. But seeing these girls together really just made me realize, even more than before, that when you're around the right kind of people you can have fun doing whatever. So if you surround yourself with good people, you're gonna have a good time no matter what. Sometimes I wish I could go back to that age . . but I think everyone feels that way at one point or another!

Love ♥
One thing that I don't think alot of girls realize is that you cannot truly be completely happy in a relationship with another person if you aren't happy with yourself. You have to love YOU first, if you don't love yourself then what reason does a dude have to love you? Confidence is attractive. Cockiness on the other hand is not. Some girls these days just go out with a million people and jump from guy to guy to guy like it's a game. Dudes do the same thing. But love's not a game; heart's aren't toys. They do break like toys though. Worse than toys even and you can't buy a new one to replace it either. So anyways, I think it's better, at first, for most people to focus on yourself first and let love come to you :)
